The Savage Way has been a leader in the Moss Art industry for the past 14 years, and recently we launched The Moss Art Workshop, both an in-person and virtual corporate DIY-style event. The goal of the workshop is to help employees disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature all while being expertly-led through an hour-long workshop. We’ve had the joy of watching companies and people light up while learning all about WHY we are drawn to nature when we want to relax, aka the benefits of moss. As a new offering, we wanted to give you some testimonials from individuals who have completed the workshop for a little more insight into the process.

I was a little nervous for this workshop because I’m not like the most creative person. However, this was so much fun and it was so easy. I’m very proud of my biophilic creation. Not only did I do something that was really tactile, but I also learned a lot about biophilic design. I would highly recommend your team doing this. If you’re a company or an organization that’s looking for something new and fresh for the team that will get everyone talking and feeling relaxed, The Moss Art Workshop is for you.”

“It was so much fun!! I love that there is no wrong way to do moss. Everyone had a unique and lovely piece, even people who don’t consider themselves creative. I really liked the limited palette – I think it’s less overwhelming with only 3-4 moss options. It was a short learning curve, and the finished product is actually super cool and a thing I will be delighted to display. I loved having chill music on in the background. I would do this again in a heartbeat.”

“Honestly, in a world where we’re so overly connected, I just felt like I was able to unplug and get in the zone. I feel like my brain was buzzing. That’s the best way I can describe it. Not only was The Moss Art Workshop educational, but I think being able to do something that is out of my normal day-to-day just made different parts of my brain click in. It was awesome. 10 out of 10, highly recommend. I can’t wait to put this beautiful piece of art on my desk.

“I loved this workshop so much. I sit at my computer all day long, so this class was the perfect reason to not have to be plugged in to my phone or my computer. I love working with my hands and honestly we all need more time off of our devices. I enjoyed learning more about about nature & the reasons why I’m such a big proponent of going outside when I’m feeling stressed. This workshop scratched that itch for me when I want to go outside but still need to be in my corporate job setting.”

“This workshop was such a novel and creative experience. As someone who lives behind my computer screen and teams calls all day long, I loved having the chance to make something with my hands. I also loved the insights into biophilic design.”

I had an incredible time at the Moss Art Workshop. I feel like it was a time to focus on something creative that didn’t have a lot of pressure behind it. I feel like you guys laid out everything so easily for us to participate with. And I’m really happy with what I ended up with. I cannot wait to put it up in my house because I love nature and I love to bring the outside inside.”
