Testimonials About The Moss Art Workshop

Testimonials About The Moss Art Workshop

The Savage Way has been a leader in the Moss Art industry for the past 14 years, and recently we launched The Moss Art Workshop, both an in-person and virtual corporate DIY-style event. The goal of the workshop is to help employees disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature all while being expertly-led through an hour-long workshop. We’ve had the joy of watching companies and people light up while learning all about WHY we are drawn to nature when we want to relax, aka the benefits of moss. As a new offering, we wanted to give you some testimonials from individuals who have completed the workshop for a little more insight into the process.

I was a little nervous for this workshop because I’m not like the most creative person. However, this was so much fun and it was so easy. I’m very proud of my biophilic creation. Not only did I do something that was really tactile, but I also learned a lot about biophilic design. I would highly recommend your team doing this. If you’re a company or an organization that’s looking for something new and fresh for the team that will get everyone talking and feeling relaxed, The Moss Art Workshop is for you.”

Caroline Bounds, Graphic Designer | Wray Ward

“It was so much fun!! I love that there is no wrong way to do moss. Everyone had a unique and lovely piece, even people who don’t consider themselves creative. I really liked the limited palette – I think it’s less overwhelming with only 3-4 moss options. It was a short learning curve, and the finished product is actually super cool and a thing I will be delighted to display. I loved having chill music on in the background. I would do this again in a heartbeat.”

“Honestly, in a world where we’re so overly connected, I just felt like I was able to unplug and get in the zone. I feel like my brain was buzzing. That’s the best way I can describe it. Not only was The Moss Art Workshop educational, but I think being able to do something that is out of my normal day-to-day just made different parts of my brain click in. It was awesome. 10 out of 10, highly recommend. I can’t wait to put this beautiful piece of art on my desk.

Elena Kacan, Social Strategy Director at Yes& | Creator / Marketing Consultant

“I loved this workshop so much. I sit at my computer all day long, so this class was the perfect reason to not have to be plugged in to my phone or my computer. I love working with my hands and honestly we all need more time off of our devices. I enjoyed learning more about about nature & the reasons why I’m such a big proponent of going outside when I’m feeling stressed. This workshop scratched that itch for me when I want to go outside but still need to be in my corporate job setting.”

“This workshop was such a novel and creative experience. As someone who lives behind my computer screen and teams calls all day long, I loved having the chance to make something with my hands. I also loved the insights into biophilic design.”

Will White, Designer/Creative Director | ThatWillWhite LLC

I had an incredible time at the Moss Art Workshop. I feel like it was a time to focus on something creative that didn’t have a lot of pressure behind it. I feel like you guys laid out everything so easily for us to participate with. And I’m really happy with what I ended up with. I cannot wait to put it up in my house because I love nature and I love to bring the outside inside.”

An Antidote to this AI-Driven World

An Antidote to this AI-Driven World

The Moss Art Workshop Brings Nature to Corporate Spaces

Times are rapidly changing. Between AI platforms and social media, technology is taking over our lives more and more every single day. The amount of time that we stare at a screen will be studied in the future. We have lost a real connection to nature and what it means to “touch grass.”  We have become disconnected from our natural earthly state with all of our office work, sitting under fluorescent lights and staring at the phone. However, The Savage Way has found a small antidote to this problem.

The Moss Art Workshop is an expert-led corporate event to help employees disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature. Through an hour-long DIY style workshop, employees will be led through WHY we are drawn to nature when we want to relax. This is an element of Biophilia (one’s innate interest in nature). Think about that family trip to the beach, the friend-group getaway to the mountains, or a simple walk in the park. Our nervous system has a way of co-regulating with the flow of nature. When we need to breathe and reset our stressed out brains, we seek our nature.

This concept translates to the corporate world seamlessly. Workers are looking for a reprieve from all of the typing and technology. Bringing nature into their space through a workshop is a great solution. The Savage Way team comes to your office and creates a space to foster this reconnection with nature. Your employees will learn about biophilia and then get their hands “mossy” and create their own Moss Art piece with expert guidance. Learn more about the workshop here and click here to book your event today.

We saw a true need for The Moss Art Workshop and think that bringing nature into your corporate environment, no matter the industry, will benefit everyone involved and only elevate the team morale.

The Moss Art Workshop for Corporate Events

Then The Moss Art Workshop is the perfect thing to plan this fall and holiday season. Take an hour to disconnect from technology and reconnect with nature.

The Savage Way has been a leader in the Moss Art industry not only in Charlotte, NC, but across the United States for over 14 years. Our design aesthetic and quality of product sets us apart from other green art companies. Check out some of our work with Truist, Bank of America, Usher and more here. We have pivoted a ton over the years and have carved out the niche that we now flourish in. It’s time that we extend our expertise and love for the art to the masses.

We are proud to announce that we can now bring our elevated Moss Art experience to your company with our Moss Art Workshops. Hire our expert team to come to your office and host an hour / hour and a half long workshop. All supplies will be taken care of and our team will host you from beginning to end. All we need is table space and an open mind. So whether you are planning your next happy hour, team event, team building moment, or corporate activity at your company, The Moss Art Workshop is bound to wow your employees.

THE GOAL
We want to spread the knowledge we’ve acquired over the years about the benefits of nature and creating with your hands. We see the direct benefit of what putting your phone away and physically creating something can do for mood, morale and overall contentment with the day.

In an AI-forward world, more and more of our reality is rapidly changing to be in front of a screen. We are losing touch with Mother Earth and the idea that we are blessed to live on this lush planet. Moss Art is one way to increase your biophilia. Biophilia is “the innate, genetically-driven human tendency to seek connections with nature, plants, animals, and lifelike processes. The concept suggests that our affinity for the natural world is deeply rooted in our evolutionary history and essential for our mental and physical well-being.” Simply hanging Moss Art in your home can bring calming effects. Another way to incorporate nature into your interior design is through wood accents, flowing water, indoor plants, colors of the earth like green, blue, brown, clay, etc.

The Moss Art Workshop is the perfect antidote to the typical corporate environment; gray walls, cubies, minimal sunlight. We will bring the knowledge and the plant life to your space, and each employee will walk away with their own piece of art that can live at the desk to bring the benefits of biophilia.
