KEY POINTS
– The annual AIDS Walk is happening in Charlotte, NC on May 30, 2026
– RAIN Carolina is celebrating 30 years of impact
– Clean Graffiti was used as a non-traditional advertising method to help spread the word

RAIN Carolina is hosting the annual AIDS WALK Charlotte on Saturday, May 30.  The Savage Way had the honor of creating a Clean Graffiti campaign for them. It is beyond impressive to have an organization that spans three decades, and to have the impact that they’ve created is just icing on the cake.

For 30 years, RAIN Carolina has consistently been the Carolinas’ largest HIV fundraising walk, raising an impressive $3.7 million to date. The family-oriented event is approximately a one-mile walk that can be completed in around 30 minutes, making it accessible to participants of all ages. Anyone who wishes to participate and show their compassion for neighbors who face challenges in accessing resources and health services, particularly those affected by HIV stigma are welcome.

Our Clean Graffiti campaign went down around popular areas in Charlotte, NC. We found high-foot traffic areas in a variety of neighborhoods around the city, with a focus on Uptown, South End, West Side, NoDa and Plaza Midwood. This eco-friendly medium was a great way to build awareness for the upcoming community event.

Clean Graffiti is a great option as a non-traditional advertising outlet. We are able to speak to your audience right where they are walking – the sidewalk. Seeing a pressure washed message on the sidewalk is a definite attention grabber. We love being able to support organizations like RAIN.

To get involved, simply visit aidswalkclt.org and click “REGISTER NOW” to sign up. Once registered, you can customize your personal page and start reaching out to friends and family to join the walk or support you with donations. There are a wealth of resources available, including social media and fundraising kits, to assist you in recruiting others and boosting your fundraising efforts.

We love their mission of standing together as a community and making a difference in the lives of those affected by HIV. Join RAIN Carolina & AIDS WALK Charlotte and be part of the positive change we wish to see in our city.
