We are proud to announce that we can now bring our elevated Moss Art experience to your company with our Moss Art Workshops. Hire our expert team to come to your office and host an hour / hour and a half long workshop. All supplies will be taken care of and our team will host you from beginning to end. All we need is table space and an open mind. THE GOAL
We want to spread the knowledge we’ve acquired over the years about the benefits of nature and creating with your hands. We see the direct benefit of what putting your phone away and physically creating something can do for mood, morale and overall contentment with the day.
In an AI-forward world, more and more of our reality is rapidly changing to be in front of a screen. We are losing touch with Mother Earth and the idea that we are blessed to live on this lush planet. Moss Art is one way to increase your biophilia. Biophilia is “the innate, genetically-driven human tendency to seek connections with nature, plants, animals, and lifelike processes. The concept suggests that our affinity for the natural world is deeply rooted in our evolutionary history and essential for our mental and physical well-being.” Simply hanging Moss Art in your home can bring calming effects. Another way to incorporate nature into your interior design is through wood accents, flowing water, indoor plants, colors of the earth like green, blue, brown, clay, etc.

The Savage Way has been creating custom Moss Art for almost a decade now. We create everything from 70′ long moss walls in a corporate lobby to a small moss logo in a coffee shop. No matter the size, the fusion of art and nature is something that fuels us as artists. There is something magical about the beautiful dance of color, texture, and use of nature to enhance a space. This “thing” actually has an industry term called Biophilic Design.
By definition, Biophilic Design blends someone’s innate attraction to nature and living things into architecture and interior design. Many modern workspaces seek to integrate biophilic design strategies and the nature-forward approach into their design plans for a variety of reasons; improving employees’ quality of life, meeting sustainability goals and increasing productivity and creativity. One of the things that The Savage Way is known for is our custom signage Moss Art. Our pieces are highly designed to the client’s desires, all while following brand standards. We pride ourselves on giving our clients a full circle experience, from the brainstorming & design phase to final execution. PARA CLT is a Charlotte hotspot known for great food, cocktails and gorgeous atmosphere. The owners wanted to bring a different experience to the Queen City and it absolutely gives Miami, New York or Las Vegas vibes. Para is short for ‘imparable’ which means unstoppable and that is what this restaurant is, it’s shaking up the game. They embraced bringing plants and art into their space from local creatives (aka us – The Savage Way) from the onset of their launch. Originally, we created a 12′ w x 8.5′ h gorgeous preserved Fern Wall with the PARA logo centered in gold to set the tone for the dining experience – lush, unexpected, unique. It even garnered a celebrity sighting or two.
The co-owners of PARA are always ones to keep people on their toes and it was time to do something fresh and new for the space. We were elated to be asked again to help bring some natural beauty into PARA. The restaurant group owners asked our team to create a piece that would reflect how we are all feeling about these wild times, and all are proud to showcase it. It’s a preserved reindeer moss piece called: Self Reflection: You are entirely up to you.

Look at yourself. Like truly stop and take a look in the mirror. Are you showing up daily how you want to? Are you doing your best? Are you using your time wisely? Are you taking care of your health? What in your life is holding you back? How can you be more present for others? What relationships can go deeper? These are the questions you need to answer to be able to better your circumstances. And the beautiful reality is that you get to decide.
You get to choose or choose again and again and again until the change that you dreamed of is your reality. You are entirely up to you. And as a collective, if we all look inward to better ourselves, then we can show up for others in such an authentic and beautiful way. This life will just get better and better the more self reflection we do.

We recently had a project that took us to Charleston, SC. Our client, Emily Adams with State Farm Insurance, wanted a green moss wall feature for her gorgeous new office space on John’s Island.
Our team and Emily’s team brainstormed several ideas for the feature wall and we landed on creating a piece that highlighted the Angel Oak Tree that is native to the Charleston area. We used preserved Mood Moss and Sheet Moss in a lush green color and then topped with a massive oak tree sign. The moss wall was inset into a nook that then had lights to showcase the detail. Creating a green moss wall like this is no small feat. The amount of detail it takes to intricately weave the moss in all of those crevices is something to be applauded.
Moss Art is a great solution for corporate interior design. The product requires no maintenance so there is no need for expensive drainage systems or access to natural sunlight or ongoing maintenance packages that some living walls can require. With moss, you are able to get all of the look and energy that a plant brings into a space without the headaches.
We love having clients who trust us with the creative process. Emily was very much involved in the the design discussions but allowed us to lean on our expertise and bring her vision for this space to life. To give you an idea, a project of this size (10′ w x 5′ h) that was a full moss wall with flush-mounted tree logo inset into a nook, took over 20 hours of mossing in-house plus on-site touchups over two days with the install team. It also took over 20+ pounds of moss to complete the look. All of this on top of the design time! So much gratitude for our team who brought this to life.
