Okay Carolina Panthers fans… it’s time to do your dance! We are honored to partner with our friends at OrthoCarolina & the Carolina Panthers for a Touchdown Dance Contest. We have put six Clean Graffiti Dance Zones in Uptown Charlotte in hopes that you will see a spot, do a little dance, have some fun and be entered to win 4 home game tickets!
A little about Clean Graffiti – it’s advertising made with water. That’s right, Clean Graffiti is made by pressure washing a stencil onto the sidewalk. We use a specialized stencil to create the artwork and our team then maps out the advertising campaign to capture the most benefit for the client. From company logos to community safety messages to fun social contests, Clean Graffiti is a great way to target your audience in an unexpected and environmentally friendly way!
It’s easy to enter. Follow these steps:
1. Find a Touchdown Dance Zone made with Clean Graffiti (aka reverse graffiti) in various locations on the sidewalks near Bank of America Stadium.
2. Do your favorite touchdown dance on camera and post it to Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.
3. Use the hashtag #TDContest and tag @OrthoCarolina in your post.
4. Post before the contest ends on Sept 19, 2021 to be entered to win four tickets to a home Panthers game this season. Winners will be notified via the channel they posted on by Sept. 24.
Here’s where you can find all of the Clean Graffiti locations for the #TDContest.

We love working with the team at OrthoCarolina. Yes, they are incredibly talented surgeons and leaders in Orthopedic Medicine, but we also know them as true partners. Whether we are pitching them a far-out idea or they bring us into the conversation because they know we are “out-of-the-box,” the OC team is always ready to push the line, ready to elevate their marketing voice and show other companies how to create brand recognition and loyalty. We value their trust in us, their community leadership efforts and overall ability to have fun with their marketing campaigns. Like this Touchdown Dance Contest with an NFL team – fun, different and eco-friendly!
Now go find a spot and do your best #TDContest dance!!

Clean Graffiti for the Carolina Panthers promoting Greg Olsen for Walter Payton Man of the Year. #thesavageway
The Carolina Panthers marketing team is always pushing the creative line with their social media and advertising campaigns. So when they approached us about a second round of Clean Graffiti, we knew that the campaign had to be something eye-catching and totally different than anything that we’ve done thus far. (Their first campaign was pretty awesome and made a big social media splash in the sports world.) And their team did not disappoint. We were challenged with putting Greg Olsen’s face on the ground in Clean Graffiti. (Seriously!)
This was no small task and we tested our template quite a bit before we were happy with the results. But man were we proud of the creative design that we were able to achieve with merely water and dirt. It was pretty awesome to see Panthers QB Cam Newton and Coach Ron Rivera wear a t-shirt that was a replica of the reverse graffiti that we put around Charlotte, NC.

Greg Olsen is a finalist for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. #thesavageway
The campaign surrounded the promotion of Greg Olsen as the Walter Payton Man of the Year Finalist. Olsen does some amazing work in the Charlotte community (which you can read about here). We were honored to help get the word out in a new and creative way. Olsen made it to the top three finalists and the winner will be announced during NFL Honors, a two-hour prime-time awards special to air nationally on Feb. 3, the eve of Super Bowl LII.

Carolina Panthers launch “Wofford is Coming” training camp campaign in Charlotte, Raleigh & Columbia.
The Carolina Panthers are known for their creative marketing efforts. Catch their latest Twitter stunt using the Fresh Prince theme song here. Living in Charlotte, NC, home of the Panthers, we know how much love the Carolinas have for this football team. So when we got a call to help with a top-secret campaign for training camp, we knew we were in for something fun.
“Wofford is Coming” is a play on both the Panthers Training camp at Wofford College and the upcoming Game of Thrones premiere this Sunday. The Panthers PR and social media team sure know how to start some buzz; t-shirts, stickers and other swag were sent to players, fans and the media and they even created a Clean Graffiti campaign across multiple markets.

#thesavageway was brought in to execute our eco-friendly, temporary Clean Graffiti in three markets, Charlotte and Raleigh, NC and Columbia, SC. These spots were placed in high-traffic areas in each of these cities. And for those wondering, it is created using water (how awesome is that?!).
It’s been fun to watch the public get excited about Panthers training camp and the upcoming season. Taking to Twitter, Instagram & Facebook to express their excitement by tagging @Panthers and using #WoffordIsComing.

We love when large corporations and organizations reach out to utilize us as part of their media buy. Natural Media is a great alternative to create subtle, unexpected buzz around a campaign. The Panthers already do such a great job of fun outreach and thinking outside the usual media box, and now they can add Clean Graffiti to their tactic list!
Get excited for the upcoming NFL football season… Wofford is Coming.

Dirty Sidewalk, Clean Message.

the concept : clean graffiti
the goal : eco-friendly advertising
the market : charlotte, nc
the brainstormers: my father and I
It was a few years ago when I first stumbled upon the idea of clean graffiti, I was helping my dad pressure wash his back sidewalk leading up to the deck. As I started to draw on the sidewalk with the pressure of the water the light bulbs went off in my head. My father and I then started to discuss the possibilities of how cool it would be to see a business’ name on the ground.
I then took this rough, cursive writing, and immediately began thinking why this hadn’t been done yet with a stencil and a message/campaign. Well, sure enough, reverse graffiti had been done before! Though starting as an art form and then a medium for advertising in Europe, the concept still hadn’t caught on as prevalently in the States. So, I did a the research and saw a need and an opportunity in the Charlotte community for a unique, green marketing initiative.
The stars began to align when I pitched my concept to OrthoCarolina, the largest private physician’s network in the Carolinas. They jumped at the chance to partner with a local small business and I couldn’t believe I was going to have a contract with such a large, positive, influential company.
My hope with Clean Graffiti is to partner with companies that wish to make a “green” mark on the over saturated advertising world. The possibilities are truly endless when it comes to what my company can do with these ads – from coming up with creative content and making interesting messages to where the ads are placed. Clean Graffiti in just an extension of the services that I offer, but it is truly unique to the Queen City and something that I am very proud of.
