Ally Financial Ordered a Custom Moss Art piece by #thesavageway.

Ally Financial wanted to bring an eco-friendly, natural element into their Charlotte, NC Ballantyne office. Through some great connections, we were able to create a custom Moss Art piece of the Ally logo to be prominently displayed in the lobby area.
Moss Art is a creation of #thesavageway and one of our natural service lines. We use preserved moss to create unique, handmade works of art for both corporate and residential clients. This piece is four feet wide on a wood backing.
We are able to work with clients who are looking to stand out with their signage, who want something “green” or natural for their décor and who are looking to practice their corporate social responsibility as a company. Meet #thesavageway
We’ve been in business since 2012. In the early days we focused on social media execution/training along with PR for local Charlotte businesses. From Papi Queso, Heist Brewery and Libretto’s Pizzeria to AIR Aerial Fitness and Cruise Carts, our client list was diverse and successful. However, while we were representing our clients during the day, at night we were creating something new and different – Clean Graffiti (or a clean message on a dirty sidewalk).
As we developed our core eco-friendly service, Clean Graffiti, we deliberately created a shift in our business. We began opening up our time for more Clean Graffiti work and slowly wrapping up our social media consulting clients. This shift happened over a few years, but now we are in a place where the services of #thesavageway reflect our passions.

We still consult and guide local businesses from time to time, but we only accept a handful as clients. And the ones we choose to work with, we wholeheartedly believe in what they stand for as a company.

Handmade Moss Art Created for a Client in Ohio.
Custom Moss Art Bike by #thesavageway.
We were commissioned to create a unique piece of art for a client in Ohio. This piece would later go on to be a wedding gift for a bike-loving, adventurous couple. It’s such a unique experience to help a client’s vision come to life. To be a part of the journey from a simple idea to a completed finished product is one-of-a-kind.
This bike is 24” in wide on 0.5” thick wood. We partner with a local wood worker, The Wooden Fox, on custom pieces like this. Cost: $200
Our Moss Art is all custom, handmade artwork using preserved moss to create a natural element for the home. It’s perfect décor for the office or home that brings a maintenance-free, outdoor element inside. We can turn any logo, phrase or image into a moss masterpiece. Cruise Carts
Cruise Carts decided to use Moss Art as signage. Cruise Carts is an eco-friendly, advertiser-driven free golf cart ride. Bringing a natural element inside the office was a perfect fit for this green company.

#SkylineCLT
#SkylineCLT was an initiative of Crescent Communities to take an old building in Uptown Charlotte and turn it into a collaborative artist space for the months leading up to its renovation. The PR agency, Yellow Duck Marketing, and the event planning company, Jen Leigh Events, decided to use Moss Art as functional signage. By creating the hashtag in moss, we were telling people what conversation to join online when posting to social media.

Breathe Refuge
Jonathan Winn, of Breathe Refuge, wanted to bring an element of serenity and nature to his studio space in NoDa, the historic arts district of Charlotte, NC. This Moss Art was the perfect solution. We created this artwork on repurposed wood to create a unique touch.

Private Resident Art
One of our dear friends and supporters, Blair Primis of OrthoCarolina, had the vision to create his longitude/latitude in moss. These floating numbers were fun to create and it definitely added a unique, natural touch to this Uptown Charlotte residence.

AIR Aerial Fitness
This AIR Aerial Fitness logo is a great representation of how awesome Moss Art can be for a client. This piece is over 3 feet in diameter and a statement piece in the AIR studio in Myers Park. Franchise owner Shama Patel even said via Instagram, “I just had the craziest thought – a logo I designed years ago without any second thought is being recreated in such a beautiful way. It’s like your creation just gave meaning to my life’s work.” (awesome – we’ll take it)
