Explore Your 704 is a Clean Graffiti Scavenger Hunt, powered by OrthoCarolina, promoting city-pride and has weekly winners.
A Clean Graffiti scavenger hunt. This has been on our bucket list for at least 4 years now. Sure, a traditional scavenger hunt could have happened at any time, but we’re anything but traditional. Working alongside our awesome client, OrthoCarolina, we have created the first ever Clean Graffiti scavenger hunt called “Explore Your 704.” And it’s pretty epic.

Explore Your 704 is a scavenger hunt using Clean Graffiti throughout Charlotte. Contest runs Oct. 10- Nov. 10.
WHAT IS EXPLORE YOUR 704
Explore Your 704 is the first scavenger hunt of its kind in Charlotte, NC. We created three graphic designs in partnership with Gustave Soto, local Charlotte graphic designer. We then translated those designs into our custom stencils to use for the Clean Graffiti portion. If you’re unfamiliar with Clean Graffiti, we clean an image onto a dirty sidewalk with a pressure washer. Don’t worry, it’s just water). This Scavenger Hunt was a way to make a game of exploring the Queen City’s finest neighborhoods.

Explore Your 704 is your chance to get out, explore Charlotte and win tons of great prizes. Check out ExploreYour704.com or more details.
THE GAME:
Twelve clues will guide you to three different sidewalk art images that exude city-pride. Each of the three images will be labeled (1 of 3, 2 of 3, 3 of 3) and there are 4 unique locations per image. (check out this link to download the pdf with all of the hints). Your mission is to use the clues to find these Clean Graffiti images. Snap a photo and upload to Instagram using #ExploreYour704. Each individual photo posted is considered an entry to win (aka you do not have to find all three to be a winner).
Here is what the images look like:

Clean Graffiti was used to create these eco-friendly images on the sidewalk. Find one, post to Instagram using #ExploreYour704 and be entered to win.
THE PRIZES:
Every Saturday (10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10), we will be selecting a random winner from Instagram. And the prizes are legit – check them out:
Week 1: $100 gift card
Week 2: $250 gift card

We just created an awesome Clean Graffiti campaign for Novel NoDa (seriously, we love it). Often we recommend putting a more artistic message down when using Clean Graffiti. Make it art. Make it pretty. Make the brand more subtle (You know, brought to you by XYZ company). Over our six years of being in business, we have found that the consumer absorbs a message like this so much better. It’s already unexpected to be on the sidewalk and in our world of third party social media content, frankly you should push for something fun, cool, witty or “Instagrammable” to represent your brand.
Kudos to Novel NoDa, Charlotte’s luxury apartment complex in the historic arts district of NoDa, for giving us the space to be creative and take their message to the next level. We partnered with the insanely talented local Charlotte artist, Kyle Mosher, to create this one-of-a-kind reverse graffiti message.

Novel NoDa’s Clean Graffiti looks great on the sidewalks of the NoDa & Plaza Midwood neighborhoods.
As an apartment complex in the NoDa neighborhood, Novel NoDa has embraced the arts community. From murals, interior decor, events, Clean Graffiti, and so much more – they believe in supporting art and artists. So we decided to recreate this love again – but on the sidewalk (just using water).
The Clean Graffiti message states “Believe in Art.” How rad is that?! With Kyle’s signature style added into the design, we have to say that this might be one of our favorite messages to date. It comes full circle to the brand because of their huge tie to the arts community. In fact, Kyle is running a contest to give away even MORE custom art. Check out his Instagram post to see the details on how posting a picture of the Clean Graffiti could snag a hand signed print of your choosing.
We are obsessed with this design from Kyle and the message to “Believe in Art”…. because clearly we do and we want everyone to see beauty everywhere.????????????

Hygge Owner, Garrett Tichy (lt) and new Chief Strategy Officer, Brittany Yoho (rt) in front of the custom Moss Art by #thesavageway.
Hygge (pronounced hoo-ga) is a coworking community in Charlotte, NC. They have been crushing the game, opening their third location in just a few years. When owner, Garrett Tichy, approached us about creating a custom Moss Art piece for their original location on 809 W. Hill Street, the decision was well, easy.
This piece was a large install. It was a total of 16 circles in a variety of sizes, along with a 36″ moss rendition of Hygge’s signature tagline, “easy.” on a brand specific yellow painted wall that measured 63″ x 74″.
We loved how it turned out. When you head to Hygge for one of their many awesome community events, make sure to snap a picture and let us know!

What does your business promote? When we had the chance to do a Clean Graffiti campaign with local Charlotte yoga studio, Yoga One, they knew exactly what they wanted to put out into the world; Love one another. Such a simple, yet profound statement.

Such a positive way to use Clean Graffiti. Yoga One spreads Love One Another message. #thesavageway

We placed 12 Clean Graffiti spots around their two studios, located in Plaza Midwood and the newly opened studio in Dilworth. Using a play on their logo, as well as the phrase that represents the lifeline of their wellness practice, Yoga One was able to connect with the public in a subtle, relatable way. We received several Instagram messages from people who spotted a Clean Graffiti spot and snapped a pic.

Kudos to this amazing company for harnessing the power of positivity on the sidewalk.
