988 Hotline Gets Boost with Clean Graffiti

988 Hotline Gets Boost with Clean Graffiti

We are honored to continue work with Mecklenburg County, North Carolina on this important Clean Graffiti campaign for the 988 Hotline for Suicide Prevention & Crisis Line. What a great way to remind people throughout the city that there is hope out there.

By simply calling or texting “988,” anyone can get help with social or family situations, depression, anxiety, thoughts of suicide, alcohol or drug use. You can also call if you just need someone to talk to. Mecklenburg County has resources available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It’s free, private, one-on-one help.

Text, Call, Chat the 988 Hotline for Suicide Prevention.

We were able to sprinkle these health & community messages throughout the county. It is so important that everyone knows that this resource is available regardless or your location or economic status.

Clean Graffiti is an amazing advertising vehicle to spread social and community messages like this. Seeing a message on the sidewalk is unexpected and may very well be the message that someone needed! We absolutely love seeing this eco-friendly medium being used to spread positivity and hope to a vulnerable population. Community matters, especially in times of mental crisis.

988 Hotline is a free suicide & crisis lifeline available 24/7. Simply call or text to chat with someone when you are struggling. There is never any judgement, just a listening ear and a person to give your resources. Check out more information here.

As the sidewalk message in Clean Graffiti reads, “It’s NEVER too late.” Check on your people, say “I love you,” and show up for others. And utilize 988 whenever needed.

Moss Art Design for Terraces at Park Place

Moss Art Design for Terraces at Park Place

Terraces at Park Place showcases beautiful, organic Moss Art in their newly redesigned space. And in our opinion, this is how you elevate a corporate lobby!

The Savage Way was brought in to design a Moss Art installation that would cover the expansive, white lobby. We worked with the team at Collett Capital, owners of the property, to bring biophilic design into the space. We landed on these wavy, flowing lines in various shades of green to bring life to the space. Using preserved reindeer moss, we were able to create a calming, welcoming vibe from the moment you walk in the door.

Terraces at Park Place is a plaza owned and operated by Collett Capital. Collett Capital is a real estate private equity firm with over $700+ million in assets under management. The firm is focused on acquiring and developing well-located, income producing real estate assets with durable cash flows and upside potential. Learn more here. In this particular building, there is 73,000+ square feet of space with tenants like OrthoCarolina, Starbucks, Sabor Latin Street Grill, Sherwin Williams, Firehouse Subs, TLC Wings, Sprint, Pizza Hut, and more.

We love when companies decide to use green walls in their space. Biophilic design, or someone’s innate attraction to nature and living things, blends perfectly into architecture and interior design. Many modern workspaces seek to integrate biophilic design strategies into their design plans for a variety of reasons; improving employees’ quality of life, meeting sustainability goals and increasing productivity. Research has shown that humans prefer a natural environment over built, especially in a post-COVID world. By having Moss Art in a workspace, employers are promoting overall well-being.

We love the scale of this project with Collett Capital and are honored to be included in the design.

RAIN CLT Uses Clean Graffiti for 2023 AIDS Walk

RAIN CLT Uses Clean Graffiti for 2023 AIDS Walk

Our friends at RAIN CLT utilized Clean Graffiti to help bring awareness to the upcoming AIDS Walk Charlotte event happening Saturday, May 6, 2023. We love to see organizations and companies use Clean Graffiti to help get a public health message out to the community. In fact, it is one of our favorite ways to use this medium. We are able to target an audience where they are walking and give them an unexpected message of encouragement or bring awareness to an event.

Clean Graffiti, aka pressure washed message of "Stomp Out Stigma. AIDS Walk Charlotte" on Charlotte, NC city sidewalk by The Savage Way.

The AIDS WALK brings the Charlotte community together to “stomp out” HIV stigma and raise funds for RAIN CLT. According to the RAIN website, “Every dollar raised stays in Charlotte to support the services and programs RAIN provides to people living with HIV and those at risk. For 31 years, RAIN has been empowering persons living with HIV and those at risk to be healthy and stigma free.”

AIDS WALK Charlotte continues to be the largest HIV fundraising walk in the Carolinas and since 1997 has raised over $3.3 million. That’s incredible! Stomping out the stigma when it comes to sexual health and HIV / AIDS awareness is so important and we are honored to be a part of helping to spread the message. The walk is roughly two miles long and takes the average person around 30 minutes to complete. This family affair fundraiser is open to all.

Custom Moss Art Charlotte Crown by #thesavageway.

The Charlotte Crown has never looked so good! We adore this Custom Moss Art piece that we created for a client in their 4th Ward home in Charlotte, NC. This piece is almost 3′ wide and fits perfectly in the foyer entrance of this neighborhood high rise.

The beauty of an original Moss Art piece by #thesavageway is that you get all of the beauty and greenery of a living wall / plant, but without any of the maintenance. That’s right. We use preserved moss so there is no need to water or leave the art near sunlight. We have perfectly crafted the artwork to maintain its color and texture for years to come.

If you are interested in learning more about this Crown Moss Art or something that you are dreaming up in your head, please shoot us an email ([email protected])! We love to be creative with clients and find a way to make your office lobby, conference room, or home foyer look way cooler (and greener!).

We were able to incorporate the Babalu brand marketing initiatives seamlessly into a Clean Graffiti campaign. We used the tagline “Yours. Mine. Ours. Food Worth Sharing” and “The New Guac on the Block.” The spots went down around the Dilworth neighborhood area of Charlotte.
