Preserved Moss Logo for Charlotte’s Local Media Source
Charlotte Agenda is a popular news source here in Charlotte, NC. It is the brainchild of Ted Williams and Katie Levans. According to their credo, “The Agenda exists to make Charlotte smarter and better connected,” and they do this with a daily newsletter, their website, Instagram & the annual City Guide. Watching their team grow and evolve into the pulse of the Queen City has been incredible.
We were honored when Cristina Wilson (President / Partner) and Abby Clark (Operations Manager) approached us to create the Charlotte Agenda logo in moss for their brand new office. And the best part was that it was a surprise for Ted, Katie and the rest of the staff. The talented Marissa Wilson of Artful Interiors was responsible for the interior design of their new space at Gather Wilmore (529 W. Summit Ave. Charlotte, NC). We quietly worked on this 4’ wide piece in our studio while the office was built out.
When the day finally came for installation, we gathered our team and headed to the new Agenda Headquarters. Getting to see the bare bones of this office was a treat. We know what it takes to get a business up and running and we could just feel the excitement in the air. Our Moss Art accompanied a gorgeous handmade table by Rosewood Co. Seriously, if you haven’t heard of Rosewood Co or Janine Bithell before, check out her Instagram.

Modern, Farmhouse Style Sign Made of Preserved Moss
We had the pleasure of creating a custom Moss Art sign for Adam Fiorenza and his team at byFiorenza Communities. This developer specializes in modern farmhouse Homes in the Charlotte area. They have properties coming soon to Steele Creek, Matthews, Mint Hill and Rock Hill neighborhoods.
Our friends at 8Lincoln30, local Charlotte woodworkers, helped us craft this beauty. This piece is 6.5’ wide with the logo sitting at 6’ in beautiful forest green moss. We love the finished product. Check out some of the photos below.

Proud owners of a new Moss Art sign!
All of our work is completely custom. That means that every time a client approaches us we are likely crafting a new way to display our Moss Art – and that is fun and challenging at the same time. This project was no different. Since “communities” was so small in relation to the logo, we had to get creative and use an epoxy fill to complete the sign. We think it turned out great! Sleek, sexy and the perfect addition to this modern, farmhouse style design.
If you are interested in having us create a unique piece of art or signage for your company, give us a shout. We would love to bring your vision to life through nature.

Custom Moss Art for 49er Annual Giving #NinerNationGives
We’ve had the pleasure of working with the University of North Carolina at Charlotte for several years now. In fact, between the 49er Alumni crew and the Belk College of Business, we’ve completed five Clean Graffiti campaigns since 2013. Amazing! Their support is so appreciated.
Here you can check out some of that past work: Belk College of Business #UNCCBizSelfie, Belk College of Business $20k Salary Bump, Belk College of Business What’s Your Next Step, 49er Alumni Norm Niner Nation Gives, 49er Alumni Pride scavenger hunt.
#NinerNationGives
The Annual Giving sector of the University has a campaign called #NinerNationGives. This annual fundraiser is a huge way to support the University and all of the Alumni programming. For this 4th year, we were brought in to create a custom piece of Moss Art that travelled to a few University events around Charlotte. We love that this moss is functional art. Since it is a hashtag, people know that the goal is to post pictures to social media using that saying. Not only was this creative marketing a success, it was fun to see our artwork pop up at different events around town.
Moss Facts: This Moss Art piece is 36” x 36,” routed and filled with forest green moss, and made with lots of love.

Urban MVMNT/Southend Grind use Moss Art to bring life to the lounge area of their LoSo Gym
Exercise, coffee and creating Moss Art are a few of our favorite things. When the guys at Urban MVMNT & Southend Grind Coffee called us to help them with a Moss Art piece, we knew that it was going to be awesome. However, we had no idea that after brainstorming with them, that we would be creating an 8 foot wide abstract map of the city.. in moss!
Urban MVMNT is located at 255 Clanton Rd. Their space is gorgeous. From the state-of-the-art functional fitness gym to the modern coffee shop, they did not spare any detail. We were brought in to bring some greenery to the centrally-located lounge area. Our moss was a great solution since our preserved plants do not require any sunlight or watering. It was the perfect solution for this interior space. Our Moss Art map adorns the left side wall, overlooking the windows to the gym.
This piece turned into an interpretation of the LoSo area map. The “islands” of moss represent the land and the space where the wall pops through are the streets of Charlotte. We brought in our wood partners, 8lincoln30, to help us create the backing for this massive piece. Jeremy & Jason Calamusa (yes, they are brothers), also assisted with the installation of the art.
At the time of our installation, they were still finalizing all of the other new additions to the lounge area. But we saw the plans… it’s going to be GORGEOUS! So do yourself a favor and stop into their space and have a look around. You can stop in anytime, grab a coffee and hang out in the lounge. (note: you do not have to be a gym member to enjoy this gorgeous space in Charlotte)

Talk about plant love! What happens when Charlotte’s first CBD dispensary, Charlotte CBD, asks us to create a custom logo out of moss? Magic… that’s what happens.
The Moss Art piece that we created in collaboration with our partners, 8Lincoln30, turned out magnificent for Charlotte CBD, located at 2419 Central Ave. The piece is 54 inches x 44 inches and filled with so much love. The forest green moss brings a rich and sophisticated design element to an already cool shop aesthetic.

Moss Art for Charlotte CBD and it’s all about the detail… so fresh and so clean.
CBD is new to a lot of people and it can definitely be overwhelming with all of the information available these days. Charlotte Agenda had a great article on Charlotte CBD and what exactly CBD is… “Cannabidiol, more commonly known as CBD, is an extract from the cannabis plant that’s popping up in everything from cookies to cocktails lately. Unlike its cousin THC, CBD is non-psychoactive and legal in all 50 states, which means it won’t get you high.” CBD is celebrated for its medicinal properties and used in treatment for a range of conditions from epilepsy to anxiety and depression.
We are honored to have created this custom piece for Charlotte’s first CBD dispensary and bud bar. Please stop in and check them out. Ask tons of questions, get educated on CBD and see how this plant extract can change your world! We look forward to continuing to grow with this company and this green industry.
